I will be moving into Nantong with my family. If we live in the city for three years or aroud, would it be worth to buy a cando or house there? Your thoughts would be much appreciated!!

Absorlutely, you can make money by investing a proporty in Nantong. The city has been getting more attentions over years as its location is very close to Shanghai and is in a fast expanding style. China's government seems not to want its real estate industry down. Three benefits are obvious comparing with owning a property in Eaurope or North America:
1. There is no property tax required by governments
2. Very low monthly maintenance fee for condominiums
3. Since last year, many municipolities starts to allow foreigners to buy a private property again. In Shanghai, you are required to live in the municipolity for at least one year as a condition.
It's bad that Nantong does not have real estate agents who serve for expatriate community.
