We will leave Wuxi between 25-28th this month and are planning to stay in Yangzhou for a couple of days. What is the quickest way we can take? Thanks for your inputs!

try any train to the direction of nanjing and get off at zhenjiang tain station. then take a direct bus from Zhenjiang to Yangzhou, by crossing the yangtze river bridge (Runyang Yangtze Bridge). have a good trip!

You can take a bus from Wuxi directly to Yangzhou. And it may be quicker as you don't need to spend time in transferring from train to bus in Zhenjiang.

Quite easy and much faster now. There have been two Yangtze River bridges already in good use, one between Jiangyin of Wuxi and Jingjiang of Taizhou, the other between Zhenjiang and Yangzhou. Buses can quickly pass the river to reach its northern bank, unlike before you have to make a detour to use Nanjing Yangtze river bridge then drive back again for another 50 km..or you spend time on ferry.

I take this trip often. I usually go by train. It may be a little longer than taking a bus, but seems to be easier. You just get on in Wuxi, off in Yangzhou. It's not necessary to get off in Zhenjiang.
